Loaded 1978 28’ Carver (boat hull 25’-2” plus full swim platform) cabin cruiser with fly bridge that needs some TLC. I’m too busy to use this boat as it needs to be used, enjoyed, and cared for. Don’t let the age/year fool you as this is a very well built boat that has been extensively upgraded! Here are some of the specifics: - recent low hours (unknown but likely only a few hundred at most) repower engine/drive upgrade to 335hp 5.7L Vortec with Mercruiser drive ran perfect while in slip at Lake Mead Marina before removal summer 2020 and not run since stored. Needs stale gas removed, flushed, new filter, and fresh gas, but should run, top speed was about 25mph - recent upholstery and blinds - recent sunscreens that need some stitching repair, I paid over $3,500 alone in order to enclose entire back deck, fly bridge, and windows to protect family with sensitive skin from the sun - recent microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, TV/DVD player, cabin fans, west marine vhf radio, drink holders, rear deck propane bbq - recent Sony/JBL marine stereo upgrade with CD player, power amp, subwoofer, and remote fly bridge controls - lighting upgraded to led - fly bridge and lower cabin steering (needs lubrication) and controls with anchor bow railing, horn, climb through windshield, bow hatch, full size swim platform - recent 800 watt inverter and battery selector switches for dual engine starting and instrumentation batteries and the dual accessories batteries, needs four new batteries - dinette that folds down to small bed, forward bed, Mansfield marine toilet, shower with hot water tank, Force 10 marine stove, sink, kitchenette counter, water/grey/black water holding tanks, chairs fold down making bed on back deck, nice quartz clock and compass - includes 1991 full size trailer with title that can get the boat to launch to a slip as this is not the kind of boat you would constantly trailer and launch - RVP Super Mach cabin air conditioner needs shore power or use a small Honda 2000 watt generator out of slip (not provided) - hookups for slip, shore power cable from panel to connector needs to be replaced - strong ocean worthy deep V thick fiberglass hull built like a tank - lots of teak wood that looks great when given the tlc oiling that it needs along with a much needed full detail - numerous accessories included - includes most all the manuals for the boat when new and subsequent upgrades including the upgraded marine power engine (see picture) I don’t have any photos of the inside of the cabin, back deck, or fly bridge and will try to post some. If you research this boat you can find pictures similar to it to get an idea of the layout. When comparing prices remember that the repowered engine, upholstery, electronics, stereo, and solar screens exceed the current asking price alone!
