1978 Volkswagen Rabbit

1978 VW Diesel Rabbit. 4 door hatch back 4 speed manual transmission Excellent reliability and gas mileage (40-45mpg) I’ve been the sole owner of this vehicle since 2009 In the time I’ve owned it, it has been very well maintained. The brakes need some work. Many parts were replaced but they still need some maintenance. There’s a leak issue between the brake booster and master cylinder. I recently became a father and I haven’t had time to do the last repair. I am looking to sell to anyone who would enjoy a classic vehicle like this or someone who is looking for something more reliable and also gets very good gas mileage. Any questions feel free to ask! - Modified brake light switch to function at brake pedal like modern vehicles: 89870 - Replaced gear shift lever, shift linkage, & bushings: 91194 - Replaced & repaired steering rack & pinion and CV boots. Replaced diesel fuel return line hose: 95061 - Repaired broken exhaust pipe. Modified exhaust by muffler removal and replaced with straight pipe: 97457 - Replaced all 4 glow plugs: 99276 - Replaced alternator: 101559 - Replaced radiator, fan switch, & expansion tank: 101804 - Replaced both front wheel bearings & entire spindle assembly: 104393 - Replaced timing belt, water pump, thermostat, & radiator hoses: 104401 - Replaced valve cover gasket & oil pan gasket: 104410 - Replaced front brake discs & pads and rear brake drums & shoes as well as all small springs and related components: 104411
