I have a very cool looking 80s Cannondale road bike with a 56cm aluminum frame and Shimano 105 components. The bike was too aggressive for me so I tried to switch to a flat bar and convert the down tube shifters to thumb, but I never found the time to finish. It was fully functional before my efforts, do l so the remaining parts should be good to go if you want to keep them. But this bike is going to need work to get the brakes and gears working again, which is reflected in the price. I also still have the original road handlebars that can come along if you want to switch back. I hope this can go to someone with the time and knowledge to make this bike back into the awesome ride it can be.
