Yellow Walking Iris Plant

This Yellow Walking Iris (Trimezia Steyermarkii) is 2 feet tall in a 1-gallon pot. As one photo shows, $22 is the after-tax store price for one that's only a little bigger. They get up to 4 feet tall (if planted in the ground or larger pot), since that is when the leaves arch over, the faded bloom heads touch the ground, and they root to start new plants (hence the nickname Walking Iris). Walking Iris eventually spreads if planted in the ground, but not aggressively, so it's easy to contain with no spread at all. In fact, it makes a great potted plant, like mine that's been in a pot where it can't spread for 5 years. The one for sale isn't blooming right now, so I included 2 photos of mine to show the plant size and flowers. Mine is 4 feet tall, but it's harder to see because it's in between many other plants, so during pickup you'll see it and get more growing info.
