Detailed YouTube video search title: “1982 Honda Gl 1100 Goldwing “Jaws” “Jaws” is a very unique motorcycle, with over 150 hours to build. It runs and rides awesome, has a Muscle sound and is really powerful. This bike was completely torn down to the frame after a full mechanical restoration (see last 3 photos). The engine runs very smooth. The cyl compression was over 170PSI in each cyl and at an equal balance, indicating a strong, healthy engine. It was started as a complete tear down to the frame. Each piece of the bike, and I mean each piece was carefully stripped, epoxy primed and refinished in House of Kolor finishes. The paint, a beautiful “ ICEBLU” Pearl Metallic, with Gunmetal center stripe that matches the Gunmetal color on the entire bike, is layered under multiple , hand sanded coats deep blue pearl HOK Urethane top coats. As a matter of fact, the photos were in mid afternoon direct sunlight, change to an overcast day and the color shifts to bluish gray to silvery green. Clean white break lines follow key lines on the bike, tiding up the look. The seating surface is hand built, padded in neoprene, and finished with a matching gunmetal vinyl, with thick white stitching. It perfectly flows up to and sits nicely on top of the rear GL1000 fender custom fit, the rear of the bike and all existing holes were welded shut and smoothed. It has a very low (28 inch) seat height for shorter legs, but I kept the seat slightly longer for ease of movement while riding for those like me with longer legs. It is easy to ride. The unique looking, ROCK SOLID RELIABLE, horizontally opposed 4cyl sits low in the frame and makes riding slowly, very easy. No blinkers. The wiring still present but harnesses removed and wires sealed and wires wrapped. These bikes were originally heavy and bulked up with touring gear, but stripped like this they are quite the fun bike.
