2015 BMW R1200RT

I am selling my trusty 2015 R1200RT-P after having replaced it with a 1250. It is a decommissioned police bike, having originally been in service with the CHP, and was auctioned off after it had sustained damage to its front fairing. It was then professionally repaired by a BMW technician who I purchased the bike from in 2021 with 10k miles. I have since put another 23k miles on the bike in the time I have owned it, having ridden it all over California. It's an outstanding solo touring bike, as well as an excellent commuter, particularly due to its police bike appearance. It is mechanically in excellent condition - I have not had a single mechanical issue with this bike throughout my entire ownership. Cosmetically, it is also in good shape, although there are some scuffs from its police days that are visible from closer up. Maintenance is up to date and has always been performed according to the maintenance schedule, by certified BMW technicians. Absolutely everything on the bike works as it should. Garage kept during my entire ownership. Receipts for all maintenance and service work are available. The bike is almost completely stock, except for the following minor modifications: - Horn has been rewired to the F2 button, since on police models, the horn button actuates the police siren horn. - SAE pigtail has been wired to the battery for battery tender use. - Speed Bleeders installed on all three brake calipers to make DIY brake bleeding very easy. - Sirens and front emergency lighting removed as part of police decommissioning. Came stock with almost all available factory options available on police models, including: - Headlight Pro - Ride Modes Pro - Shift Assist Pro (quickshifter) - Cruise control Additionally, because it is a police model, it also has the following features not available on standard civilian bikes: - Solo seat with radio box (storage compartment) replacing pillion seat - Slim top-loading panniers - Front and rear crash bars - Rear emergency light pod with additional brake lights and turn signals (flashing emergency lighting has been removed) Unlike most ex-police bikes, this bike retains its rear light pod and lighting control board! This provides you with additional brake/tail lights and turn signals, and the ability to easily reinstall the flashing emergency lights if you desire.
