Description

Marked down again, another $500 less for $2,000 less now! Our Estey AS-1 is a spinet type organ with dual 49 note manuals, 18 note Bass Pedals, Internal Vacuum Tubes Power Amplifier & Internal Speakers. It has preset keys, vibrato keys, and instead of drawbars, it has stop-tab rocker switches. It has a Brilliance control knob for a reverb affect and a ¼” phones jack & vintage phones. With an extensive back wall, it can be placed anywhere in the room. It also comes with the original beautiful padded seat bench with storage under the seat. The Estey AS-1 Electronic Organ is a "flute-tone" organ, which reproduces flute type sounds, and it has excellent sound quality. It is at least comparable in quality and similar in appearance to the Hammond A-102 and the Estey AS-1 was designed by Harald Bode, a pioneer in electronic instruments and a well known Organ Engineer. This mint vintage electronic organ contains a 6L6 Vacuum Tube Amp (about 20 Watts) with a huge Stancor Power Transformer, a Stancor Output Transformer and a Tone Generator. Ours was made in about 1958 or 1959 and the AS-1 was discontinued since due to the very high build quality it cost about twice what Estey could sell them for. So the AS-1 was the last model, only a few were made and the Estey Organ Corp. closed in 1960. Virginia City’s organ repair, etc., expert, Robert Miller, on 5/16/14 inspected and cleaned it at my mother-in-law's home and again on 11/28/14 (since then he passed away) after we moved it to our home. He verified that the move caused no damage and that it is still in mint museum quality condition with excellent quality sound. I have a short video of him playing it then. The picture with the seat without padding is the one at the Estey Museum. We want to find it a good home where its rare quality will be enjoyed! $1499 O.B.O local pick up or + shipping, but it does weigh maybe about 400 lbs. :-) (contact info removed)
