Up for sale is a single vintage General Electric 6CA7 / EL34 "Fat Boy" power pentode vacuum tube, manufactured in Owensboro, Kentucky, USA in September 1975 (EIA Factory Code 188-5, Date Code LS). The American-made GE "Fat Boy" is legendary in the audiophile and guitar community, highly sought after for its wider bulb construction, robust build quality, and incredible sonics. It delivers deep, tight low-end, rich mids, and massive headroom that foreign-made slim EL34s simply cannot match. Perfect as a premium replacement for a single-ended amplifier or to complete a vintage matched set. Condition: Excellent cosmetic and structural condition. Bold, clear original GE "Electron Tube" and "6CA7/EL34" stencils on the glass. Features massive welded gray plates, dual ring (double halo) getters, and a clean, mirror-like chrome getter flash.
