Description
I am cleaning out my mom’s house so keep watching for various vintage items- books rare to modern), toys, and much more… "The Wanamaker Diary 1910" was published by John Wanamaker, the founder of the Wanamaker's department store chain. Wanamaker's was one of the first department stores in the United States, and was known for its innovative marketing and merchandising practices. The company issued diaries annually as a marketing tool, combining a calendar with advertisements for store products. These diaries often included quotes, news, and blank lines for personal notes. Wanamaker's was sold to Carter Hawley Hale in 1978, but the name remained. The store was later acquired by Woodworth & Lothrop in 1986, and then by The May Company in 1995. It’s an interesting read to see what products were top of the line back then as compared to over 100 years later!
