The story......my daughter bought this gas fireplace insert for over 7K with install in 2022 to put in her wood burning fireplace. Along comes 2025 and as they remove the stucco on their home to re-side the house, they realize the chimney structure (30+ years old) is rotten. They tear down the rotten chimney and build a short stack to vent the insert only to be told this model must vent up a chimney..... so.... a 5K 3 year old fireplace that works great is yours for 1K OBO. Remember- it must vent up a chimney to meet code! Includes metal plate trim piece which was an extra $500, remote and front screen.
