Description
4 Season trailer with high ground clearance, legendary Arctic Fox build quality, big propane tank. 2nd owner, my dad’s retirement trailer, first 8 years of it’s life stored in his equipment shed, used 3 times a year by us, in great shape overall, with a few minor issues, what 18 year old trailer doesn’t? Comes with a nice Companion 5th wheel hitch if you can use it. Looking to get a down payment for a newer standard travel trailer, motivated seller, there’s a mini winnie on the lot they have reduced the price of and we’re not a big fan of climbing up the stairs to the master bedroom anymore and want a little more floor space. I’ve kept up with maintenance, dual batteries are only a few years old, tires were new in Fall of 2021. Solar ready. 18 year old trailer issues - There was a leak and water damage in right corner of the sleeper from me backing around a corner too steep, broke my truck’s cab window, dented the trim on the sleeper, letting in water that I didn’t notice right away. Completely gutted about 80% of the sleeper in June of 2024, even down to the plywood subfloor, scarfed into the dry wood of the frame, rebuilt and replaced anything that was wet, dumped tube after tube of lap sealant on the roof, left the inside unfinished for the winter to watch for leaks and it’s been dry, so I finished it with screws and doorskin plywood to make it relatively easy to inspect down the road. Roof membrane was still in great shape. I’ve stayed on top of the roof sealant over the years, no signs of leaks anywhere else. Black tank has been almost entirely pee as a rule, always flushed out every trip. One electrical gremlin that I haven’t been able to solve, the awesome roof fan in the slide-out area can’t be run at the same time as the fridge, both work fine, for some reason the fan will force the fridge into some sort of reset mode, where you have to go to the RV place and pay some smart guy too much money to short out a jumper on the electrical panel for the fridge, so we just don’t run that fan, the AC works really great, so we never notice. Only other ouch is the big picture window in the back is only one pane now, because at some point my kids broke the inside pane, none of them seem to remember how it happened. I keep a piece of plywood under my mattress and some duct tape just in case the outer pane breaks and I need to cover it up to get home. I’ve never wanted to find out how much a new window costs, we don’t go very far, typically just up to Rasar and back.
