The Nichols & Stone rocking chair has been lovingly restored.This rocker was disassembled, with every component carefully sanded to reveal the raw wood beneath. Any imperfections were expertly repaired before all joints were re-glued with traditional hide glue, ensuring lasting strength and stability. The chair was stained with a rich pine pigment stain to produce its original color, Multiple layers of shellac have been hand-applied, with careful sanding between each coat, resulting in a nice finish that promises years of enjoyment.
