Description
This is a very rare Hogwarts Acceptance Letter screen-used prop from the first Harry Potter film in 2001. This is not a replica, this was actually used on set in the production of the film. This was not the one that the actor held, but was one of the 1,000 made for the famous scene where they are flying around in the air. They reloaded the letters multiple times into a letter shooter and this is one of those. Comes with two certificates of authenticity, professionally framed in TruVue museum glass to protect the item from light and damage. The letter is held with archival tape as to not damage it if you ever wanted to remove it from the frame. You can compare this to other known examples online, if features the unique veining of the envelope from the prop makers and other traits you’d want to look for in an authentic letter prop like this. The seal is not real wax as that was only used for the one held by Daniel for close ups, also the wax would make it too heavy to fly for the shot they needed this for. Any questions let me know, $1200 cash and local pickup near Arrowhead Mall in Glendale AZ 85308 It says “Philosophers Stone” because that’s the name of the book and film in the UK, and this letter was shipped from an auction house in the UK many years ago which originally used the funds for charity. There are few scenes as iconic as the Hogwarts acceptance letters flying in through the privet drive door on that Sunday morning. This letter and that scene set the stage for what would become a multi billion dollar franchise. Now you can OWN a part of your favorite movie. If you’ve waited years for your very own acceptance letter to arrive, now’s your chance. 🦉
