Stately Vintage Oriental Armchair with many details, from the curved Queen Anne legs with claw feet, oversized seat that measures 19” x 22” ! The seat is topped by a golden painted carvings of lions on each corner (these may be foo dogs not lions). Then more hand painted decorations around the base of the seat. Hand painted peony pattern and scroll decorate the yoke back, and on the back side is a beautiful mother of pearl carving of a maiden. This is an armed dining chair meant for the head of the table, but it’s also a stunning accent piece or focal point. Overall measurements are 39” tall 21” x 24” . Seat depth to the yoke back is 16.5” arm rests being 8.5” at tallest and chair seat standing 16.5” from the floor. At the present time there are two available, the list price is for one, there are also 4 side chairs available, I have a separate listing for the side chairs, discounted if two or more are purchased. This is a used vintage chair, and while it is still very impressive, sturdy, no wobbles there are cosmetic touchups that have been applied to the lacquer, and some side sculptures are missing, less than perfect, but more than expected and built to last at least another 70 years or more.
