Description

There’s a beautiful Chinese bronze hand warmer. Unfortunately, over the years that has lost lead portion of it, but you can tell that it is very old. It has little dovetailed square portions of bronze under the carving which has been inlaid probably from porosity or imperfections in the cast, which tells me that it is a very early form of casting as if it was more modern they wouldn’t have bothered patching these imperfections and would have instead just repelled and recast it. Possibly even earlier than the 1800s. Very nice patina to it and very beautiful decorative pieces. There’s no damage to it that I can see. Take a look at all the photos to see general condition.
