This Nutcase helmet is youth sized, pleaae see manufacturers photo for sizing (measure 1" above child's eyebrows for head circumference) Magnetic latch chin strap is unparalled for kids' comfort & willingness to wear as it is so easy to put on securely as well as unlatxh without an adult's help. We found the cheaper helmets were such a pain to ensure wearing at all AND properly. My son used it when he was 8-10 years old as he had a larger headsize than average children. Smoke free, dog free home but always stored in garage, no animals. No cracks, no structural damage, all straps are free of any damage, fading & frays, and all foam is intact. Occipital adjustment strap works perfectly. Typical scratches on the shell from him tossing it down from the scooter after stopping. Never been in a collision or incident, thankfully. Retail plus tax new is just under $80
