This Poang chair from the same decade that gave you Friends, Nirvana, and Wolfgang Puck frozen pizzas isn’t exactly in the greatest shape but even as it sits, you can tell that it really, really wants to come back to life or at least loved just the way it is showing up as. It’s very comfortable and with its slight rocking motion as you sit in it, it’ll make you forget that it’s not in pristine, 100% condition. The brain child of Noboru Nakamura and Lars Engman, the Poang chair made its debut in 1976 and with very little modifications done to the original design, it remains a top seller to this day. It’s weathered and beat as you can tell from the photos but that charm shines through any so called imperfections. The vintage ones can easily go for $200-$300 depending on condition. I’m asking $60 for this one because I know it does need work on it.
