Antique 19th Century French Reneissance Revival Carved Oak Dolphin Sea Serpent Library Desk

An absolute gem. Intricately carved, wonderfully rich oak table with bulbous legs, carved stretcher, hanging finials, gadrooning ,and relief carved lions (?) at the corners. This would qualify as an antique bureau plat writing desk but can serve many purposes. It is attractive, ornate, intricate, and wonderfully patinated. Measurements: 49.5 x 35 x 30 Clearance under desk: 24" Clearance between legs: 39" Distance to stretcher from front: 12.5" Pre-owned antique item with age appropriate use and wear. Has one large water ring, has patina, darkening, fading, deposits on surfaces, small dents, dimples, scuffing, and scratches. The drawer is a little stiff. Heavy and large item.
