2018 Canyon Spectral CF 8 with 160mm Lyrik

This is a size Large 2018 Canyon Spectral CF 8 27.5 upgraded with a 160mm Lyrik fork. It is an All Mountain MTB with 27.5 wheels which make it maneuverable on tight single tracks and easier to accelerate off the line (compared to a 29er). Upgrades: RockShox Lyrik 160mm fork. This totally changes the downhill capability of the bike and handles the rougher, chunkier descents a lot better than the stock fork. The longer 160mm travel (compared to stock) also slackens the effective head tube angle improving the steep downhill single tracks descents (compared to stock). OneUp 800mm carbon bar. This makes the steering more responsive, is lighter, is more compliant (less jarring in the hands) and the gives more leverage on steering input. Shorter 35mm stem and added spacers position the rider more upright making then steep descends easier to handle. Handling: The bike handles well, is responsive, climbs well and is great on very tight single track because of the 27.5 wheels. It’s also easier to accelerate off the line compared to a 29er. It is easy to pump through berms, handles jumps well and soaks up the small chatter really well. Tires front and rear are Continental Xynotal front and Continental Kryptotal rear, 2.4”. These tires have been excellent so far in terms of reduced rolling resitance, grip and long thread life, combined. I personally prefer these of Maxxis Assegai + Minion DHR (and those are excellent tires combo). The bike can also take 2.6” chunky tires. There marks/chips in the paint. It has been very well maintained and everything works very well. If you’re looking for an enduro, all-out downhill bike, this is not the right bike. If you’re looking for a responsive All Mountain bike, this is a good bike with the upgraded 160mm Lyrik that really improves the ride on rougher descents.
