This gorgeous Kent Coffey bedroom set was handed down to me from my Grandma 20+ years ago, and she had it for 40+ years before she passed. Unfortunately, we downsized due to life circumstances and it doesn’t fit our new space. Sad to part with it. They don’t make exquisite furniture like this anymore! Solid wood, high-quality veneer, dovetail joints, gorgeous brass accents, and sculptural drawer pulls. This is a rare set called “The Bordeaux” and I believe it is known as “French Provincial” styling with free-hand carving, cabriole legs, and dainty scroll feet. The set is from the late 1950s or early 60s. Overall in amazing condition with minor imperfections, as expected with vintage pieces. Set comes with: (1) Tallboy 5-drawer armoire (1) Low 9-drawer dresser with matching mirror (1) Nightstand ABOUT EACH PIECE Tallboy 5-drawer armoire: 52” tall/high x 38” long/wide x 20” deep (measurements are approximate!) - All drawers slide smoothly. Steady & sturdy. Strong feet. - Third drawer down is divided into two sections by a wood scroll piece. - Minor ding (less than 1cm) and superficial scratch on left top surface; minor roughness/wear on top right surface. These are almost imperceptible unless viewed up-close/at the correct angle with the light hitting it. - Minor chip (less than 1cm) on outer right corner. Low 9-drawer dresser: 32” tall/high x 63” long/wide x 20” deep (measurements are approximate!) - All drawers slide smoothly. Steady & sturdy. Strong feet. - Surface veneer has some chips & scratches (we had crappy movers once), and a faint stain from a cup (kids). Most are barely noticeable and do not detract from the overall beauty. You really have to look for them or view it from the correct angle with the light hitting it. The surface veneer could be easily refinished. Mirror: 47" wide x 32" high (the mirror itself, not including legs) - Mirror is in perfect condition (exceptional for its age). The frame has a few very minor dings/indents (less than 1cm each and did not chip veneer). - No scratches or cracks to mirror or frame. - No age spots on the mirror's glass. Mirror can be attached directly to the dresser with screws or use the built-in hooks on the back to hang it. The wood has holes to attach the mirror on the back of the dresser. The holes have worn from removing the screws over the years, so we hang the mirror behind the dresser (we care for these pieces and didn’t want to damage the dresser by making bigger/new holes). Nightstand: 25” tall/high 19” wide/long x 21” deep (measurements are approximate!!) - Drawer slides smoothly. Steady & sturdy. Strong feet. - The nightstand gets daily use and has several minor scratches to the veneer and on the sides. There is a 3cm wear through the veneer on the main surface. Kent Coffey furniture is known for its quality construction, which is why it has lasted this long, through multiple moves and kids. Hopefully, this exquisite set will find a new home that appreciates their craftsmanship and puts them to use. Single pieces are selling on 1st Dibs for approximately $2k (with all their imperfections). I saw the nightstand listed on Etsy for $400 alone! Alternatively, refinished pieces selling for $$$$ on consignment sites. Low price here because we want them to find their next loving home soon. We cannot deliver, but my spouse or I can assist with loading. Pick up near 71st Street & Woodridge Ave (next to the Home Depot) in Woodridge. NOTE: These are heavy, solid wood pieces which will require two people to move. I recommend bringing moving blankets to protect the pieces and wrap the mirror. (I have one moving blanket to give you for the mirror, if you don’t have one.) You can fit them in one load with a cargo van or pickup truck. Cash only
