Up for auction/sale is an incredibly rare, museum-quality 1970 original first-issue Tamiya 1/18 scale Lola T-160 TS motorized plastic model kit. This is the highly coveted US export edition distributed by Model Rectifier Corp (MRC), marked with the historic CS1804 kit number. KIT CONDITION: - 100% UNSTARTED & COMPLETE: The box has been opened only to inspect contents. No parts have been cut from sprues, glued, or painted. - FACTORY SEALED BLISTER PACK: The iconic blue display card is completely intact and factory sealed, beautifully preserving the original metal gearbox, electric motor, vintage Tamiya cement tube, and the highly desirable front and rear treaded rubber tires. - SEALED PARTS BAGS: The main mechanical sprues and chrome detailing trees remain completely sealed inside their original crinkly 1970s factory plastic bags. - DECALS: The original vintage decal sheet is included. It displays authentic age-related yellowing/foxing spots as pictured, but the film and numbering crispness remain fully intact without any cracking or flaking. - BOX CONDITION: The original brown-cardboard style box shows minor shelf wear consistent with its 50+ year age, but holds excellent structural integrity and brilliant box art colors.
