Spangle is covered in red, white & blue stripes & stars, arms & ears are the same but on the opposite side as his body. He has a white head w/black button eyes & larger black nose Birthday:June 14, 1999 Released:Aug. 16, 1999 Retired:Dec., 23, 1999 He has a 5th generation swing tag that says, ty “Beanie Baby Original” The 5th gen started the beginning 1998. “The font inside & outside the tag has been changed to Comic Sans. Ty UK & Ty Deutschland have now been taken off the corporate addresses & replaced with Ty Europe & Ty Canada. The Beanie's birthday is now spelled out in full & the style number is gone” He has a 7th generation tush tag that appeared after Jan. 1999 There is a hologram on it. In the middle is a pale heart symbol which is heat activated & disappears when heat applied.
