Description

I'm selling a Rare Wayne Gretzky in 3D Shadow Box 1990 Topps HOF Crowning Glory #3 Kings. I must presume that it's rare - and possibly even a one-of-a-kind item made by hand - by the fact I cannot find another one like it anywhere on the internet, for that matter. Please feel free to correct this, as I am seeking more information and understanding of this item. I can't even find the name of this type of card, when 3 layers are cut out and added upon one another. Again, please let me know, if you know. I searched the internet and there are all kinds of other names for 3D effects added to sports cards - but NOT that I could find for literal, actual 3D cards. So my best guess was just to put "shadow box." It may be that someone out there loves Wayne Gretzky enough to have painstakingly and pretty much perfectly took an x-acto knife to 2 additional Crowning Glory cards and found a way to layer them upon one another - and then did the same thing with Brett Hull of the St. Louis Blues, a similar type of card that I am also selling on OfferUp. The condition is excellent, the card having been protected by outer plastic box all of these years (I bought this card as a young child and hockey fan). The silver-painted box has a tiny spot that's slightly less shiny, and there are a couple of places on the topmost layer of Gretzky that slightly lean towards the base card as a natural effect of gravity after all these decades, but that's it: basically, the card is in great shape thanks to the protective box. The outer plastic box itself does have some scratches and wear, but can easily be replaced as the 3D card inside can easily be removed and is not glued in (as shown in the pictures).
