1990 Vintage Palekh Jewelry Box "Morozco" Fairy Tale Theme

This is a lovely Russian made jewelry/ trinket box made in 1990 when the USSR was still in existence. It is made by the artist Alexandre Kovalef in the Palekh style of art. This means there are many different layers of paint to create the picture. This is a scene depicted from the traditional russian fairy tale, Molozko. According to Google, this type of artwork was made for the American market and was often made with 24 carat gold accents. I have no way of testing it. I make no claim to say if it has real gold accents or not, as I do not know. The exterior looks flawless in like- new condition. The inside of the lid has a few very light small scratches as you can see in the pictures. Other than that, I can't see anything on the interior to indicate it was ever used, the inside of the box itself looks like new.
