Sierra Leone-Style Bamboo Slit Tube Percussion (Kele) A kele, or slit drum, Is cylindrical in shape, made out of a hollowed out log. It has three narrow vertical slits of varying lengths along the top and an incised design on one end. It is played standing up, worn with a fibre carrying strap. Other known names for the kele are kili and keleng in Temne. This kele was handmade by local African artist Eddie Osborne. Shipping available (M0)
