Here’s a brief overview: All pieces are archival watercolor (with occasional charcoal/collage enhancement), framed, and in excellent condition. Ostrich (19″ × 30″) Cougar (24.5″ × 30″) Sunbathing (26″ × 30.5″) Dog with Shadow (18″ × 37″) Michaelin Otis is a nationally recognized artist, workshop leader, art show juror, and author whose primary media include watercolor and collage. She owned and managed Avalon Arts, a combined gallery and teaching studio in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, for 18 years, fostering regional artistic communities and mentoring emerging artists. Otis’s instructional book, Watercolor for the Fun of It – Painting People, was published by North Light Books in 2005 and remains a well‐regarded guide for beginning and intermediate painters, offering 13 step‐by‐step demonstrations of human subjects in varied poses. She is also a contributing author to Drawing and Painting People – The Essential Guide, has illustrated ten children’s books, and has written articles for Watercolor, Artist Magazine, and Watercolor Magic among others. Her work has garnered numerous awards in juried shows nationwide, and she holds signature membership in the Louisiana Watercolor Society, the Taos National Society of Watercolors, and Artists Changing Tomorrow. Otis’s collage pieces are noted for their archival quality, achieved through bespoke paper making, multiple varnish layers, and UV‐protectant finishes, ensuring each work’s longevity.
