1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

I bought this 8 or 9 years ago from an old potato farmer who traded it for a piece of farm equipment many years earlier. He was not able to provide me with a lot of history on it at that time. I found out about it from a co-worker who knew I was into classic Toyotas and the owner was his father-in-law. He had it parked in the back of a heated shop behind a pile of 60's muscle cars. He said it was too slow for his blood and agreed to sell it. It's in very good close to original condition with the exception of a few modifications like the wheels, tires, Pertronix (in distributor) electronic ignition module, aftermarket exhaust (sounds great), suspension, and a few other minor things. Original inline six 3.9L F engine and 3 speed transmission. Absolutely zero leaks. It fires right up every time and runs perfect. I also installed a switch that kills power to the coil as an anti-theft measure. It was repainted at some point in original Capri Blue and only has very minor surface rust in a few small places such as the door hinges. There are a few very small scratches/nicks in the paint but you have to look very close to notice. I'll gladly send photos of these to anyone seriously interested. I ran a magnet in a cloth over the whole thing before I purchased it and it has absolutely nothing to hide. This is a beautiful survivor. Recent work completed less than 500 miles ago from the most reputable Land Cruiser shop in the NW (you know the name) including new oil pan, tie rod ends, valve cover gasket, and clutch. This thing turns heads everywhere it goes and I have loved owning it. I've unfortunately only really used this thing as a weekend driver to run errands and such as it's too nice to bang around like it's meant to and I want to find one in a little worse shape that I will actually use as intended. I also have other LC projects I want to dump some of the $$ from the sale into. I have a set of the long rear jump seats that came with it that are also in excellent condition. They do not fit with the roll bar installed. I originally planned on selling them and buying some short ones that fit but I never did as I really didn't have a use for them. Comes with a nice storage cover I bought that fits it perfectly. Serious inquiries only please, and I am not interested in any trades, help selling, or consignment.
