Hand built and ready for pickup. This is a NEW Gaylord Guitars Sexwax (model) in Vintage Aged Black Burst. Body has Black Limba as a top wood with a light weight Basswood back.  Vintage hardware and hot hum cancelling pickups.  The neck is Hard Maple with a 2-way truss rod and has a C-shaped profile with thickness measuring .87 inch at 1st fret and .90 inch at the 12th fret. Neck has been sanded smooth for a faster playing finish. The fret board is Indian Rosewood with mother of pearl fret markers and white plastic side dots. Frets are polished medium tall nickel/silver with rounded ends and the fret board has been “softened” on the edges for a worn in feel. Nut is made of bone. Hardware is aged hard tail bridge and is string through body with an aluminum ferrule block at the back. Hip Shot 6-in line, open gear locking tuners, Kluson CA style strap buttons, 2 knob black nickel cover plate with knurled knobs. Pickups are Gaylord Guitars stacked hot single coil (hum cancelling) at the neck and Seymour Duncan Super Distortion 1 at the bridge. Middle position is both neck & bridge out of phase. This has CTS 500K pots, volume/tone with an orange drop capacitor and a non-treble bleed circuit. Tele style, 3-way switch and jack cup. Set-up is 12-inch fret board radius, polished nickel/silver StewMac fret wire, 22 frets. Action is medium-low. This guitar plays awesome and looks great.  The vintage finish inspires. The neck pickup is articulate but not over the top, just the right amount of pick attack and is slightly scooped and punchy. It feels great, offering counter balanced, semi-clean tones compared to the higher output bridge pickup and it can growl when strummed harder on the bass strings.  The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Super Distortion (hot PAF) with great attack, definition and classic hard rock tones.  Overdrive break-up is responsive and biting without losing the warm mids and this is one of my favorite pickups.  Ask questions.
