Introduced in 1951, the Kern Macro Switar lens reached legendary status for its precision optics and hand-crafted elegance. The Switar 50mm Aprochomat gives the image of unique brilliance, with razor-sharp definition and high contrast at all apertures. The all-in-one macro lens seamlessly breaks through the near-distance barrier by focusing down to 7 inches. The lens also features Kern Visifocus depth-of-field scale. Macro Switar's exclusive provision for "point-blank" pictures allows the ALPA photographer to take close-ups without accessories. This particular example was well cared for by my late Dad and as an engineer, architect etc, all his equipment was always in immaculate condition.
