Description

READ ALL THE POSITIVE: 1988 Sprint... 1.0L 3 cyl, 5-speed manual. Good tires 95% life left. Full size spare. Brand new $140 battery, brand new complete $250 exhaust system. Pretty straight for a car from ‘88! Japanese reliability!, Made by Suzuki, marketed as a Chevy. This is the predecessor to Geo Metro/Suzuki Swift, and mechanically identical, shares same shop manual w/ Metro/Swift. Shop manual included. I’ve always gotten 36-37 miles per gallon, this car is for someone who wants to commute, and save tons gas. Or if you just want a cheep Street legal go-cart. Car is actually fun to drive! This car runs fantastically!! I drove it 85 miles a day, almost full-time, for three years, never once broke down! Previous owner put a $900 Japanese crate motor in at 200k, mileage is now 287K (67k of it from me). Has backseat down with a wooden cargo floor, giving cargo space of an SUV! (Backseat usable with two working seatbelts as well). THE NEGATIVE: The blinkers blow a fuse, but hazard lights work. (hand signals work like a charm) Probably wire short within the steering column. Headlights work uniquely, with the aid of a-screwdriver. Again likely a wiring short in the steering column. If you’re the mechanical type, probably not a hard fix. Clearcoat faded spots, could be buffed out. Original radio, doesn’t really tune in to anything. No carpet, just a metal floor and rubber mats.
