I've always wanted Alexa in my car. This did the trick! I attached it to my center console with double sided tape and is hooked up to my aux input in the car. I just hop in my car and turn on my WiFi hotspot. It does take about a minute to connect. Uses: I have a bunch of smart devices in my house all controlled by Alexa. So I can now turn on the lights before I get home for instance, or lock the door if I forget. Since my car is older and doesn't have Bluetooth for music, only calls, I use this echo input mostly to listen to music. Works great if you have amazon prime music but works with other streaming music services too like spotify. This alone is worth the price! I can make calls, texts, and even drop in to my other echo dots in my house or make an announcement which is like a speaker phone that goes to all my Alexa devices! I know they have echo auto but that's by invitation only which I didn't receive one. This is the next best thing.
