Worked great for me! Blown head gasket made me sell my 2001 BMW 5 series! I ALSO STILL HAVE ORIGINAL TORQUE CONVERTER AS WELL. This transmission was installed from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s, appearing in models such as the E36 M3 (late production), E39 5-Series, E46 3-Series, E38 7-Series, and Z4. It was used in various engines, including the 2.0L to 3.0L range. Here is a breakdown of its use by BMW model: BMW 3-Series: E46 models from approximately 1995 through 2007. BMW 5-Series: E39 models from 1995 to 2003. BMW 7-Series: E38 models from 1994 to 2001. BMW Z4: E85 models from 2002 to 2009. BMW M3 (E36): Some later production models. BMW M Roadster/Coupe: Found in the Z3 2.8 and M Roadster/Coupe models.
