The sturdy interlocking frame encases the piece for strength and durability while the four open, spacious shelves provide plenty of storage books, magazines, photo frames and souvenirs that are scattered around in the room, this bookshelf fits ideally in the living room, bedroom, kitchen, study, or office. The wooden shelves were originally black and were later painted with grey chalk paint.  Could easily be lightly sanded and repainted to match any home décor.
