Or maybe it hosted an ornate vintage prized lamp. I wish we knew the entire history of this beautiful piece of craftsmanship. We inherited this vintage victorian parlor table from my mother-in-law. She had an extensive collection of antiques and other vintage treasures. Her sister was an antique dealer and appraiser who assisted with mom's antiques procurement. Unfortunately, we do not have the documentation on this table. Much was lost in the chaos of cleaning out the home and sorting through decades of accumulative documents and other items that went to auction. All we have are the stories and info verbally conveyed. This is very old furniture so wear and tear is to be expected. The marble might need a good sanding to remove stains that have been there God knows how long. It looked like this when my mom-in-law bought it before I first saw it 37 years ago. As far as we know, this table has all its original parts.
