2002 Ford Explorer

2002 FORD EXPLORER XLT, V8 4.6L 2WD, Automatic. Needs transmission work. Clean title no accidents, registration paid and passed smog in December 2023 I have it since 2017,never created any problems for me, but for the last 2 years it’s more sitting parked than driven, used it only once or twice per month,this is my 3rd vehicle,I have other two cars which I drive daily. Few weeks ago transmission started to act up, it slips when upshifting between 2nd and 3rd gear.. It is drivable, if you release acceleration pedal it will shift to the 3rd. Besides of this every gear and shift works normally,downshifting nice and smooth too Changed the transmission fluid and put new transmission filter hoping to fix the problem,but it didn’t. CEL came up,OBDII computer shows error code P0745: pressure control Solenoid A No need for this SUV anymore so I am selling it as is, I am not going to fix it. Overall is in decent condition, see pictures. It has 2” lift,leather interior in good condition,only tiny rip in the driver seat, very smooth and powerful engine. No engine,transmission or coolant leaking of any kind,never had. Shock absorbers,front rotors,control arms,wheel bearing hubs were changed 4 years ago,very recently got brand new battery still under warranty. Brakes are good,oil has been changed regularly. AC very cold. Front tires almost new,with less than 2k miles on them. Radio works but 6 CD changer has all slots stuck with my favorite CD’s,so you’ll get those too J Has the original factory roof rack, roof has rust spots. Mileage is under 145k,digital odometer doesn’t light up to show the mileage, only sporadically once in a while (this is well known Ford problem) I can show you proof of mileage, or you just have to believe me. Also you can bring your mechanic to check anything you want before you buy it. Price is cash and it’s firm, lowball offers will be ignored.
