I sent this letter that is listed below to the General Manager last week and have not received a response back.

I purchased my 2023 Ford Bronco Sport on September 20, 2023 from Sunset Ford. A few days after I purchased the vehicle I brought it back because the dash screen had a squeaking sound. They returned my vehicle to me stating they could not find the issue or duplicate it. I called my sales rep a few months later to tell him that it was still an issue. I brought it back again, and I was told it was fixed.

Around Feb 2024, I called the service department to schedule the Bronco for an oil change and for them to check the dash screen again because it had disconnected from the FordPass app and I could not remote start it anymore. The screen also would freeze so I could not disconnect calls or play music and the squeaking sound was back. It also would show the back up screen while I was driving forward. When  I called I was routed to call center and spoke to a man there. I advised him that I needed a loaner car because I work in downtown Seattle and have a disabled child and can not be without a car. He advised me Sunset Ford does not give loaners and that I would have to make my own arrangements to rent a car. That was the moment I started to regret my purchase!! I told him to have the service manager call me.

I finally received a call from Tammy Takayesu in the service department and explained the situation to her. I also explained that when I purchased the vehicle, it was not communicated to me that I would not get a loaner while my vehicle was being serviced. That would have changed my mind about purchasing from Sunset Ford. I do not feel that I should have to pay to rent a vehicle while my vehicle is in for service after purchasing a brand new vehicle!

April 2024, Tammy arranged for a rental car at no cost to me. My Bronco was in service for 3 weeks. All of the issues seemed like they were addressed and resolved, until about a month ago. I started having issues with the screen again and things rattling that shouldn’t be.

I spoke to Tammy to make an appointment to bring the Bronco in again. I explained that I received a letter from Ford that there was a recall on the Bronco and want to get that done.  My appointment date was 8/1/2024 and I was provided a loaner while my vehicle is in for service. It was in the service department for 8 days. When I picked it up I first noticed that there was icing (possibly from a donut) on my driver seat and floor. I also noticed my car it was really dirty. I thought this was odd because I washed my vehicle and filled it with fuel the day before I took it in for service. I looked at the mileage that was listed on the service sheet and calculated it against the current mileage. It was 137 miles on my Bronco since I dropped it off! When I called Tammy about this she told me that it was a typo on the sheet for the mileage. I knew that was not true because I know how many miles it takes to burn through gas and I only had a half a tank of gas left. My tires had dust stuck to it like it was taken on a dirt road. There was also a candy wrapper on the floor between the seat and the door that I found when I went to wash my my car that night. I do not eat candy and my son has been out of town for 2 months, so I know it did not belong to me. She gave me all sorts of excuses which made no sense to me. She offered to give me a $40 credit on my account, which also made no sense to me, because my balance is $0. She then offered to put gas in my tank when I return for an oil change in a few months.

I am completely disappointed with the service department because of the lack of integrity. At this moment...I do not want to ever bring my vehicle back for service at Sunset Ford. However, I was told I can only bring it to Sunset Ford for the warranty. I would like to talk to you regarding this.

I had a great experience at Sunset Ford. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. Brandon Avery especially took great care of us and helped us buy our first car as a married couple. I recommend asking for him if you have any questions about what car is right for you!

I can’t say enough great things about Sunset Ford! We didn’t even buy our Ford Edge from them, and it was out of warranty, but they went absolutely above and beyond. When the car needed a new engine, they didn’t just diagnose the issue – they took the initiative to call corporate Ford, got a brand new engine sent over, and installed it for free. They could have easily just done the minimum, but instead, they went out of their way to help us in a way we never expected.

After that experience, I’ll be a customer for life. I recently brought in my 2016 F350 for its 50,000-mile service, and once again, they were amazing. The service was quick, the team was great to work with, and the prices were very reasonable – most of the cost was for parts, and they only charged $200 for labor even though they had my truck all day. I’m blown away by their level of service and dedication to their customers. Sunset Ford has definitely earned my loyalty!

Sales, finance, managerial, and parts staff were friendly and responsive to my requests.  There was limited knowledge when it came to slide-in camper support.  However they were willing to help and listen to my needs.  Their financial dealings were very good and they made every effort to satisfy my requests.  I would buy another vehicle from this dealership.

I had a great experience at Sunset Ford.  I was being difficult my whole experience from one salesman to the next.  They were courteous and laughed past my persistence.  Once they made the sale I went into finance dept and went backwards on my commitment. They got me back on board and finalized the sale. I want to Thank the staff at Sunset Ford for showing your compassion and love for what you do. You truly proved it too me.,
