Description

My childhood piano has to go. Need the space. My loss is your gain... Here's a beautiful B. Shoninger upright piano, manufactured between 1910-1911 based on the serial number 45166. Beautiful medium oak color. In fair condition with original ivory keys and three brass foot pedals. One hammer needs to be replaced that controls the highest treble black key, some of the keys are slightly chipped, and it needs a good tuning. I believe the keys are ivory. Please check out the website for the Antique Piano Shop to see fully restored Shoninger uprights selling for between $13,500 and $22,000. Unfortunately, I don't have the space to keep this and don't have the time nor money to fully restore this piano to new. Just want it to go to a good home. You could restore or just fix the one broken hammer, get a tuning and enjoy as is. Must pick up and move. Any moving cots are the buyers responsibility. B. Shoninger was one of Connecticut's most respected piano and organ manufacturers. Bernard Shoninger established his first factory in 1850 in New Haven, Connecticut, and built exceptional pianos and organs throughout the 19th and early 20th Centuries under the name of B. Shoninger & Company. In 1922, the company changed ownership and the name of the firm was changed to Shoninger Piano Company with offices in New York. Shoninger pianos had an excellent reputation, and the name was produced until the 1960's.
