Vintage ‘48 Buescher Aristocratic Alto Sax

Here's a really nice example of the late 40s Buescher Aristocrat alto saxophone, also known as the "Big B" era in the Buescher timeline. This one isn't quite a "closet horn" but it's very original. Lacquer looks great, some minor wear & checking, see pics. All original gold Norton spring & patented Buscher "snap in" resonators on all he keys. Pads are a mix of new & old. Instrument was recently serviced, new cork all around as needed, cleaning/lubricating, adjustments etc. This is an incredible instrument, plays & sounds wonderfully. The low Eb tone hole has some verdigris which is very common as this area in particular sees a lot of moisture. This could be easily removed if the inestrument body was given a chem bath (which is something I don't do). Neck is original & is one of the 01 varieties, well intonated. Case is old and perhaps original. latches work , has functioning handles.
