Description

9" tall by 5" wide Living Ghost plant. Comes in a clay pot on a bamboo stand. The ghost plant (Graptopetalum paraguayense) is a low-maintenance, drought-tolerant succulent that requires bright, indirect light, well-draining soil, and infrequent watering. Ghost plants need bright, indirect light, ideally near a sunny window. Insufficient light will cause the leaves to become spaced far apart (etiolation), while too much direct sunlight can cause sunburn. In outdoor conditions, ghost plants can tolerate more direct sunlight but should be gradually acclimated to prevent shock. Use a well-draining, fast-draining soil mix, such as a cactus or succulent mix with added perlite or coarse sand. Water sparingly, only when the soil is completely dry. Overwatering is the most common cause of problems and can lead to soft, squishy, or rotting leaves. The plant is drought-tolerant and can handle long periods without water. Leaf propagation: This plant is very easy to propagate. Gently pull off a healthy, plump leaf, let it callus for a couple of days in a dry spot away from direct sunlight, and then place it on top of or stick the cut end into a well-draining soil mix. New roots and a tiny plantlet will form in about two weeks. Giving a starter-sized Arrowhead plant with this purchase.
