Description

Overview: Up for sale is a fantastic aquatint etching by listed French artist, Bernard Gantner (1(contact info removed)). Gantner is a well-known French print artist known for his bucolic landscape etchings. This piece is titled, "Les Bords De La Rance ("The Banks of the Rance") and depicts a scene of the Rance river in Northwestern France (west of Paris). Based on my research, this etching dates to 1984. Pencil signed at lower right and numbered (145/185) at lower left. Condition: Etching is in excellent condition. Frame shows a number of scuffs and nicks. Measurements: Etching (sight) measures 24 wide x 18 inches high. Frame measures approximately 34 inches wide x 27.75 inches high.
