Classic baluster form with a petite pouring lip and loop handle—an attractive example of 19th-century English lusterware that displays beautifully on a shelf or with a jug collection. Materials: Earthenware pottery with copper luster glaze; hand-painted sponge decoration; clear interior glaze Style/Theme: Victorian / Staffordshire copper luster; rustic floral/foliate spongework; country cottage décor Age: Circa 1840–1860 Size: 4.5 in W (spout to handle) × 3.5 in H Condition: Good antique condition with honest age wear—rubbing and small scratches to the luster, typical glaze pits and kiln specks, light wear at rim/spout and foot; no cracks noted. Presents well. Maker/Brand: Unmarked, typical Staffordshire production Country of origin: England (attributed) Food safe? Not recommended for food or drink due to historic lead-bearing luster glazes, best for display only.
