Description
Looks like a museum poster that somebody had framed. The painting is at the Lourve. The painting is about a battle that took place between the Romans on the right and the Sabins on the left. Hersilia, representing the Sabine women, intervenes preventing the killing of her father Titus Tatius, leader of the Sabins on the left, by her Roman husband, Romulus, on the right. This courageous act, the legend has it, led to the reconciliation of the two groups.
