This is a great little stand to hold things like a receiver, DVD or BluRay player, modem, router, center speaker in a surround sound setup, and more. The shelves are not adjustable - the height between is fixed. The top piece of glass is not attached - it sits right on top, allowing for easy access to the rear of a receiver if it is on the top shelf.
