Description

This plate commemorates the 1956 Republican Convention at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, CA. Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates Dwight Eisenhower and Richard Nixon were renominated for the 1956 election. On the last day of the convention, August 23, the delegates and nominees were treated to a speech by singer Nat King Cole. This rare plate has one small chip on the lower side (see photos), but no other wear or markings on the finish.
