Beautiful cherry red Bridgestone RB2 stripped to the frame and built up with a bunch of modern upgrades: wide range 2x9 drivetrain running on Shimano bar end shifters (indexed with a friction setting if you want a different setup), an Ultegra rear derailleur, and an alt-double Sugino crankset with 46/28t chainrings just like what you get out of a new GRX crank. Cassette is 11-32t. Mellow cockpit with a Nitto Young stem (decent amount of height, almost as much as a Technomic) and an SR World Randonneur bar with good rise and flare, kind of a predecessor to dirt drop / Cowchipper-type bars. New leather-finish Deda tape. Dia Compe Gran Compe drillium levers with new gum hoods too. Frame has generous tire clearance, enough for these new 33mm Panaracer GravelKing ACs. Rear wheel is a Shimano 105 hub laced to a Mavic OpenSport, front is a tricolor 600 hub and an American-made Matrix Aurora rim. Good spoke count for commuting, brevets, even some fire roads. Frame is lugged triple butted Ishiwata steel with Suntour dropouts, beautiful and bombproof Japanese rig with cosmetic scrapes and scuffs throughout but no dents or gouges, steel is real. Same bike as the legendary RB-1 but with tougher tubing, preferable for rougher miles and more stout riders. Grant Petersen-designed, a Rivendell before Rivendell existed. 56cm at both the seat tube and top tube, good for a rider 5'8" to 6'0" or so, come see what the Bridgestone cult is all about.
