Description
Here's a nice sounding Alvarez Regent 5212B (black) model guitar that was made in Korea in the late '80s or early '90s. This was just restrung and setup with a set of D'Addario EJ16 phosphor bronze extended life .12-.53 strings. It plays nicely, sounds great and projects well. Everything is original and tuners seem to hold consistently. This is in overall good condition with a few bumps here and there, but nothing too major and the body is double bound. There is one crack in the finish above the sound hole that extends about six inches, but does not go into the wood or bracing. I believe these were made with a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The fretboard is rosewood with mother of pearl dot inlays and has a nice inlay at the 12th fret. A previous owner apparently added an unknown piezo pickup under the saddle and added a 1/4" jack to the strap pin, but it seems to have a short in it and does not output a signal. A nice mid level guitar to upgrade to, to have around as as extra or to gig or record with. The hardshell case shows some signs of use on the tolex, has a nice red interior and all latches and hinges work properly. There is a storage compartment. No odors. From a smoke free home. Asking $200 or best cash offer. I will consider trades for other music gear. This is located in FORT WORTH. IF THIS AD IS STILL POSTED, THEN THIS IS STILL AVAILABLE.
