Beautiful vintage framed reproduction of “The Bookworm” by German artist Carl Spitzweg. The artwork depicts a scholar standing on a ladder surrounded by books in an old library. It has a textured, oil-painting-style finish and comes in a substantial decorative wood frame with gold-toned detailing. The original publisher’s label from Éditions Artistiques Narbonnaises is still attached to the back. This is a decorative reproduction, not an original Spitzweg painting.
