Description

I WILL NOT SHIP THESE. Sorry to yell, but the shipping would be about as much as my asking price and I constantly get offers contingent on shipping. If you'd like to have a courier service pickup I'm fine with that. The courier will have to sign for them. If you're a fan of Speakerlab then you'll know these. These are the "wide aperture" version of the classic 7s. These are much harder to find than the super 7s or even the Das series. They are LOUDspeakers kind of blurring the line between home audio and PA speakers. The sound is phenomenal, but I simply don't have the listening distance you need to really enjoy these (10 ft or more is really important to get the effect of the speakers) They put out more bass than some of my dedicated subwoofers do. Really fill a large space with gorgeous sound. These gaurentee eviction if used in an apartment setting. They like POWER despite being 4ohms. They sound amazing on tube amplifiers, or some big Pioneer monstrosity like the SX-1080 (see video below) These are in good condition. The veneer is peeling a bit here and there, but the subs, horns, and tweeters are all in good working condition. One of the plastic bits on the speaker inputs is missing, but the terminals still work fine. The silicon you see around the components is just how Speakerlab assembled them. And when you consider these are 35 years old and work great, they might have been right! The price is FIRM as I'm not in any rush to get rid of these pieces of history and they are extremely rare. Here's a video of them in action: https://youtu.be/cgoV5qaVKdY
