Description

As-is Kay parlor style acoustic guitar. It has some issues, but it has a nice old-timey tone that is a lot of fun. The action is high, so I currently have it tuned to open D, which works well for slide and chords in the first few frets. Playing and the intonation of fretted notes gets wackier the higher up the neck you go. At some point, someone worked on the tailpiece and moved it over to the side a bit, so the strings slant across the fingerboard. This makes fretting some notes challenging (the low E string can slip off the fretboard), but it's less of a problem if you're playing slide or open chords. Overall, this probably won't be your favorite guitar, but I have enjoyed having it as a member of my team for the past ten years or so. I hope you'll enjoy it too!
