Description
Fully restored 1950s mid century modern oak dining chairs in the manner of Paul Laszlo. Low profile with a large, comfy seat. The slightly upward tilt gives the seats the feel of a lounge chair in a smaller form factor. Upholstered in a moss green microsuede with a teak finish on the frames. Although we've seen this design attributed to Paul Laszlo, the tags indicate they were made in Los Angeles by Morris Furniture Co. Two of the chairs in this set retained their original tags — no small miracle considering they were affixed with only a pair of upholstery nails almost 70 years ago. Fun fact: the absence of a ZIP code in the address confirms these chairs were made prior to 1963, the year ZIP codes were first introduced by the USPS. This expertly restored set is ready for decades of further use. Height: 30.75 inches Seat height: 18.75 inches Width: 19.75 inches Seat width: 19.5 inches Depth: 21.5 inches Seat depth: 17.75 inches We have 2000 square feet of mid century modern furniture and vintage decor at our appointment-only showroom.
